One of my friends wears Be Delicious, and had recommended it to me. I hadn't realised that this fragrance had already been programmed into my brain as the scent that I identify with that friend. So however good or bad it smells, I can't really think of it as anything other than M's fragrance.
Some perfumes are just off bounds for reasons beyond your control.
