Hello lovies!
I hope you are having a marvelous 4th of July long weekend! All I can say is... we will be so glad when it's over. The kids are terrified of the fireworks. :-(
So, what do I do an a blistering hot July Sunday? Why... BAKE! Of course! I havent heard anyone complaining... yet.
Today's goodie:
Soft and chewy Chocolate Chip cookies
3/4 cup butter flavored Crisco
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (optional)
- Heat oven to 375 degrees
- Cream Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla until creamy
- Blend in egg
- combine flour, salt and baking soda, add to creamed mixture
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts
- Drop rounded tbsp of dough onto parchment lined baking sheet
- Bake at 375 for 8-10 mins for chewy cookies or 11-13 mins for crisp cookies
- Cool
- Snarf
