Apologies that this post is almost "old news" by now... but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to comment on the Balenciaga show. After his singular vision of cyber-bots in Spring 07 I love that Nicolas Ghesquière did a 180 for Fall and returned to his "cool-girl" roots. Somehow it reminded me of his Spring 02 collection - so many layers of reference where does one begin? School-girl/Aztec fusion - and yet somehow it just works. Bravo Nicholas.
