Fragrance Girl

Guest Post from The Lip Print

The winner from Friday's give away will be announced a little later this morning. In the meantime, a big thank you Stef from The Lip Print who has written a great guest post about her favourite perfumes. ---------

When the lovely Jess from Signature Scent approached me about to write a guest post on perfume, I was immediately excited the idea and pondered what to write about. I thought about doing a piece on signature scents (as I thought it would be a fitting topic) however the problem with that is that I don’t have a signature scent; nor do I want to have one. It dawned on me that, like my sense of style in terms of clothing and accessories; my taste in music and literature, I am somewhat of a mixed bag. I’ll be just as happy and feeling like ‘me’ in a frilly dress wearing Miss Dior Cherie as I would be in a tailored suit wearing No 5 Parfum. I love that I can change up my style within a moment by switching my scent.
So I thought it might be fun to tell you what I wear when channelling different personas: ‘Ultra-Girlie Stef’ wears Alannah Hill, headbands with bows or flowers, strappy heels and pink lipstick – Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb ‘Cozy Stef’ wears cashmere jumpers, ballet flats, cotton scarves and jeans – Donna Karan Cashmere Mist ‘Bohemian Stef’ wears maxi dresses, jewelled sandles, dangly gold earrings and bronzer – Dior Escale a Portofino ‘Winter Stef’ wears cute coats, tan leather boots, opaque tights and wool dresses – YSL Opium ‘Sophisticated Stef’ wears oversized sunnies, black dresses, vintages scarves and jewellery – Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia
There are so many amazing fragrances out in the world I could never confine myself to a single one. I love the way my fragrance collection compliments the different parts of ‘me.’ But even as I love variety I will always have a bottle of Dior’s Hypnotic Poison in my collection. As others come and go; that precious one will remain.
