Zeus the magnificent ~ Our current foster Muppet

Happy Monday babies!

The sun is finally out {It's FREEZING} and the sky is blue! It's beautiful... and so are you. Isn't that a song or something?

Anyway.

I thought you might need some uber cuteness to brighten your Monday.

I thought I'd introduce you to Zeus, our new foster Muppet.

No, he's not really a Muppet, but he looks like one!

OH MY!!!

Is he not the cutest thing you've ever seen?!?!

He is approximately 9 weeks old, and he's a very special cat.

You see,

Zeus is a pure blood Maine Coon.

See his extra toes?

That is a characteristic of the pure Maine Coon.

Not to mention that he's 9 weeks old and already the size of a 3-4 month old kitten.

He's spectacular.

Zeus came to us Saturday, late afternoon from another foster family who had to move and the new rental wouldn't allow pets.

He was stressed, but so sweet.

Cut his nails and gave him a bath, then he hid for a few hours.

In that time, I had posted a picture of him on our towns Facebook page saying he needed a forever home.

Within a half house, someone recognized what a special cat he is and told me she and her family wanted to adopt him.

Wow, he was at our house less than 6 hours and already had a family VERY excited to adopt him.

That has to be some kind of record.

Sunday, she submitted the adoption form and it's been reviewed.

Next steps: Zeus goes to be neutered this week, there will be a home check and references will be contacted, and if all goes well, Zeus should be in his new home this week!

Sounds like he is going to be very loved and treated like the King he is!

Just to give you an idea, Zeus could grow to be this size, or larger:

Be still my heart.

I SO wish we could keep this special boy!

But, you all know we have our hands full with our 4 right now.

He's incredible!

This also reminds us why we tend to adopt adult cats.

He's irresistible, to be sure.

But, he's a terror.

So busy and really hates to be left alone.

He eats like a horse, too.

It's fun to have a kitten around for a little while, but it's a lot of work!

He's very special, and will be loved all his days.

Remember,

Fostering saves lives.

I hope Zeus brightened up your Monday a little bit!

XOXO
